Roundabouts

An increasing number of communities around the country are rethinking their approach to traffic and settling on an option that is remarkably more safe, pedestrian-friendly, and quicker to navigate while driving: roundabouts. According to VDOT, there are now several hundred roundabouts across Virginia, and approximately 100 new ones are being constructed each year by communities around the Commonwealth. While they may look different and take a few times around to become familiar, the benefits of roundabouts are so vast that VDOT has declared them their preferred design for new intersections in Virginia. Below are links to valuable resources and information about roundabouts.
